Ethical Fall Fashion Trends
Autumn is my favorite season. My husband and I were married in the fall, in the mountains of Colorado. I consider Pumpkin a major food group (although, confession, I don’t care for pumpkin spice lattes, only REAL pumpkin). I love boots, soft sweaters, scarves and wool fedoras. If you’re a fall lover like me, you are ready to amp up your wardrobe with some new pieces, but you want to do it in a socially responsible manner. Here are my top picks for ethical fall fashion:
Champignon Modern Tee
This mushroom t-shirt from the Vida Voices Collection has me obsessed. The colors and print are divine, the gray back is perfect for fall and your purchase helps literacy programs for the clothing makers.
Tibeb Nomad Bootie
Everyone needs a fall bootie and this one is my choice. I personally purchased the black suede, but it also comes in a yummy brown leather. Sseko products ALWAYS make my picks. They are made by women in Africa who are funding their college education, they have amazing quality and last for years and their shoes are so comfortable I’ve basically ceased wearing anything else (unless I have to wear fancy heels or it’s 2 feet of snow outside).
Iceberg Jim Fedora
Goorin Bros hats are where it’s at for me. I have an ample hat collection, many of which are from this awesome store. I always recommend them because their hats come in sizes, so even the guys with big melons can find something there! This unisex cognac colored felted wool fedora is the epitome of fall. Part of their Heritage Collection (read: Made in America) this will be your go to fall hat for years to come. Feather optional.
I’m all for clothes that can have multiple functions. I love wraps that can be scarves or skirts, tunics that are shirts or dresses, this cozy and adorable hooded reversible cardigan. Dress it up or wear it around the house; I have a feeling this will be one of those pieces you want to wear on a daily basis!
Boho Back Wrap Dress
Because I can’t wear a front wrap dress without looking, shall we say, trashy, I was super excited to find this back wrap dress to show off some sexy shoulder blades instead. Add to that a fun print, comfortable cotton jersey and fair trade production in India. Thank you Mata Traders! Also check out their bird print dress while you’re there. Because bird print.
